‘X’ Marks The Spot?

We all need goals. We all need something to look forward to, to help us get up in the morning. But don’t be fooled into think that your sole purpose in life can be found in a career or in financial success! Some of the richest people in the world are also the most depressed.

If you determine that you purpose in life is to obtain ‘X’ amount of money and only this will make you happy, you will cause yourself to be unhappy the entire time you’re striving for it. You’ll busy yourself thinking your happiness is because of your lack of ‘X’, when really, your unhappiness would be steaming from your obsession with ‘X’. If this behavior goes unchecked, you might consume your entire life working and never really live!

We all have a purpose in life. Don’t readily accept what the TV tells you your purpose is without giving it some thought. Culture yourself to learn more about what people around the world think and see if you find truth in other peoples perspectives!

Once upon a time, the fastest way to send information was through a machine called “the Fax Machine”. Then came the email with its unlimited capacity to share! Long gone are the days were we wait on the mailman to bring us more files that will only clutter up the office. It seems like only yesterday that we were forced to wait for what seemed like forever, on replies to our inquires. Thank God, impatient people invented a way to communicate in realtime through social media.

Aside from the obvious benefits of social media, it has improved our lives in many other significant ways. But on top of these obvious benefits there are even more uses that you have yet to explore since social media is constantly evolving!

Social media sites provide a way for people the world over to stay connected.It’s cost-effective when compared to traditional phone calls and much better too since it is now possible for the person you are calling to see you. Social networking sites make it possible to connect with your long-lost friends and make new ones too. In other words, social media can improve your social life.

Social media also has tools to help you organize your life and work. No need to carry around piles of paper to study, all a person will ever need is in the computer. Aside from that, it paved a way to strut your stuff for all the world to see. Just imagine how it helped Susan Boyle achieve celebrity status in record time! Best of all, social media sites are always there to ease your stress after a long and tiring day at the office.

We’ve all heard the phrase “dressed to impress” over and over again. Despite the popularity (and truthfulness) of this saying, some people feel they don’t need to adhere to it; usually because they feel they will have to sacrifice their comfortability and individuality. What these singles don’t realize is that a positive self image is small but important key to success.

Firstly, singles should dress themselves in a manner that fits their personality and their occupation. This doesn’t mean that you need to “suit up” everyday if you are a work-at-home web designer, but it does mean you have to look good when you meet with clients.

Self image is simply portraying the person you want others to see. People will use your outfit to try to gauge how successful and professional you are. If you fail to make the first impression great then you’ll lose out on an opportunity to impress and intrigue clients.

Also, remember that your self image can play a big role in elevating your mood. Even on the worst day, put on your best dress and see how you feel.

The worst critic we have is ourselves as we see the flaws that others don’t. We can choose to let our critic rip us to unconfident shreds, or we can dress to impress and leave our critic speechless. A good self image gives singles the leverage you need to succeed and it opens more doors for opportunities to come in. Lastly, self image is not only about the clothes you wear but more importantly about how you carry yourself.
